Amrabad Tiger Reserve (ATR) is a well-preserved natural reserve in Nallamala Hills (a section of the Eastern Ghats). Amrabad Tiger Reserve is one of the largest tiger reserves in India that extends about 2611.4 km2 over the Nagarkurnool and Nalgonda districts of Telangana State. ATR is the second-largest tiger reserve in terms of core area and sixth-largest in terms of total area among the 53 tiger reserves in India.

The Amrabad Tiger Reserve is a part of the Nallamala Forest track and has rich biological diversity with several endemic species of flora and fauna.

Earlier it was part of Nagarjunasagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve (NSTR). Post-bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and the formation of Telangana in 2014, the northern part of the reserve became a part of Telangana state and was renamed as ‘Amrabad Tiger Reserve’. The southern portion continues to be ‘NSTR’ and is with Andhra Pradesh.

Nagarjunsagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve (NSTR) in Andhra Pradesh is the largest tiger reserve in India.
